Christina McMillan Events ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of visitors to our website, christinamcmillanevents.com (the "Site"), and our clients and prospective clients. By using our Site or submitting information to us (for example, through our contact/inquiry form), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

a. Information You Provide Directly

When you submit our contact/inquiry form, we may collect:

  • First and last name

  • Email address and phone number

  • Your service preference (Event Planning, Wedding Coordination, or Wedding Officiant)

  • Venue name, city, and state

  • Budget range and guest count

  • Any other information you choose to share about your event in the contact form

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the Site, collected automatically through Squarespace's built-in cookies

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our separate Cookie Policy for details)

c. Information From Third Parties

We use Aisle Planner, a client management and event-planning software platform, to help organize and manage client and event information after you inquire with us. We may also receive information about you from vendors and venues involved in planning your event.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested information about our services

  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate about your event

  • Send updates, proposals, contracts, invoices, and event-related communications

  • Improve our Site, services, and client experience

  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights

We do not currently send marketing emails or newsletters. If this changes in the future, we will only do so with your consent and will provide an easy way to opt out.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information as follows:

  • With vendors, venues, and other event professionals, but only with your written permission — except that once a vendor has been booked as your event coordinator, that vendor will be kept informed of relevant event details as necessary to coordinate your event

  • With Aisle Planner, our client management and event-planning software provider, to help us manage your event details and communications

  • With service providers who support our business operations, such as our website host (Squarespace)

  • With legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law

We do not currently use email marketing platforms, website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), or advertising/retargeting pixels (such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel). If we begin using such tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Payments: We do not process payments directly through the Site. Invoices and payments for our services are currently handled directly with clients (for example, via Zelle) outside of the Site.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site is built on Squarespace, which automatically places certain cookies to operate and support the Site. We do not currently use additional analytics or advertising cookies, but may add them in the future. For more detail, please see our Cookie Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
